As promised….You ask & I answer 🙂
Here are the questions. I’ll be doing another one of these again if you have any questions, you can post them on here and I’ll get to them on my next installment!
cj80edwards asks:What’s the hardest thing about parenthood?
What isn’t the hardest thing about parenthood? I feel like we get one thing figured out and then move on to the next problem. Seriously, if it’s not a cold, bad sleep patterns, reflux, or a goopy eye…it’s that I ate dairy or she doesn’t want to eat that day! Parenthood keeps you on your toes. You just have to take it ONE*DAY*AT*A*TIME and focus on the good because the good ALWAYS outweighs the hardships. It’s SO rewarding. I can’t imagine when we’ll be dealing with scraped knees, broken hearts and college essays. Oh, baby girl, don’t grow up! 🙂
mgipson0129 asks: How long are you guys planning on waiting before trying for #2?
Ohhhhh boy! I just don’t know! We are preventing right now…and probably will for a good while. My husband (who wasn’t even sure he wanted kids, mind you) was asking about baby #2 as soon as we got home from the hospital with Laikyn! I was like…don’t you remember I just went through 10 months of pregnancy, 14 hours of labor and a major surgery to get her here? COME ON!! No, but really…I think we want to give this princess the time she needs as an only child and God will provide her with a sister or brother when the time is right…maybe in 2 or 3 years!
_wifestyles_ asks:How are you liking being a stay at home mommy?! What’s your daily weekday routine like?
Being a SAHM has been everything I wished it to be and more. I knew that I would never be able to leave my baby once she was here, and I was right! I have a hard enough time leaving her with daddy or Grammie to run an errand. Our days can be long and hard (especially since Daddy is ginning right now) but I wouldn’t trade one second for being anywhere else. We have a good daily routine going…it of course starts with feeding her, snuggles, coffee and Live with Kelly and Michael! Then we usually go for a long walk that takes about an hour, and she sleeps in her stroller most of the time. Then it’s time to feed again, then play and nap! It’s about all we do…feed, play, nap! 🙂 I have fun reading her books, playing with her and her toys and just teaching her the ways of the world! 🙂
jessicakoleen asks:Do you have your Amp MD Roller yet? How do you plan on incorporating it with all the other R+F products?! {I’m trying to formulate a routine}.
I’m so glad you asked this! I LOVE my Rodan and Fields AMP MD Roller. I’m not able to use it with the Night Renewing Serum since I’m nursing, but I have been rolling with the Redefine PM cream and even on my tummy that just went through pregnancy! I’m using a firming gel on my belly and am seeing crazy results! I plan on using it once a day except for the days that I use my Macro Exfoliator. I’m using it every night when I get out of the shower on my belly…and legs…and thighs…and butt…haha I’m rolling everything! Why not?! Want more information about Rodan and Fields products? Email me or visit my website.
grangernat asks:@ashleeknichols are you co-sleeping with baby? When are you thinking you will move her to her room? Our little is 4months old and I just can’t do it!
I’m not! I just never got in the habit of letting her in our bed. She slept in the Rock & Play until she was about 2.5 months and then we moved her to the cradle. We just recently, about 3 weeks ago, transitioned to her crib in her room. We’ve been fighting the 4 month sleep regression and it’s been a toughie. I’m doing a modified version of Baby Wise, and that’s helped…but I’ve had to modify it a lot to meet LC’s needs. I will tell you that there was about a week and a half period of no sleep that she would start out in her crib and then end up in bed with me nursing laying down because thats the only way either of us slept! She was up about every 1.5 hours that week. Hopefully (fingers crossed) we are back to normal now. Knocking on wood over here!!!
rgnpnnngs24 asks for:A life story!!!
Hmmm….let’s see! I’ll give you a rough timeline of events in my life! 🙂 My sweet family was picked for me…I have one beautiful momma who is the BEST and two older siblings. They are MUCH older than me (8 and 9 years) and we have different dads. My “biological” dad gave up rights when I was 10 and it was the best thing that ever happened to us. My mom remarried the most amazing man and he adopted me. He’s been the BEST dad there is. I do have the most wonderful family. I married my dream guy and we have our angel baby. Short story: I love my crazy, beautiful life!
rsfarland asks:This is more maternity related but…did you end up using your belly bandit even though you had a c section? I’m guessing with the incision it might have been painful. If you did, do you think it helped?
I actually bought a Belly Bandit and took it to the hospital with me and then wasn’t able to use it because of my C-Section. They have a compression thing for you to wear if you have a c-section so I wore that for about 4 or so weeks. My mom did bring me these c-section panties at the hospital and I ended up wearing them for at least 6 weeks! Those things were amazing!
Well, that’s all for now folks! I enjoyed answering questions and look forward to the next one! 🙂
