I started this post well before Lennyn was born and since she came early I never got a chance to finish it. I obviously didn’t end up having a c section but I planned for one since I had one with Laikyn. God had some special plans for us, and I was thrilled!!
Packing for a c-section can be a little intimidating. Do I pack gowns or sweats? What else would I need extra? Well, I’ve put together a couple of must haves for your hospital stay.
Even if you’re not having a c-section, there may or may not be a giveaway so keep reading…
Okay, so here are some of the things I needed last time and will be taking this time.
C Panty – These are crucial if you are going to have a c section. They are comfy, hold your belly in and also have a little built in strip for your incision to help t heal quicker. I wore these for severa weeks (maybe even months) after having LC. MUST HAVE!! **Even though I didn’t have a C-Section with Lennyn, I still used these and they worked great for holding my belly in!**
My Growing Belly Gown – Who doesn’t want to feel pretty while they’re giving birth and after? You need your own gown. Don’t be stuck in the hospital one the whole time, and this one doubles as a robe so you can also use it over your pajamas while in the hospital. I love how girly the floral pattern is too.
Push Pack – This is literally everything you would need for toiletries, etc packed in one cute, tiny little bag for the entire duration of your hospital stay. It includes nipple cream, nursing pads, a toothbrush, toothpaste, mints…I mean everything. **I’m going to add that THANK YOU JESUS that I packed this because my husband was in denial that we were having the baby. I had this in my bag and it got us through the whole stay with no other toiletries. He didn’t pack a thing!** The Push Pack includes:Lather® body wash, shampoo, conditioner, lotion and facial soap, makeup remover wipe, shave cream, razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant wipes, Motherlove® nipple cream, breast pads, Earth Mama Angel Baby® bottom balm, natural lip balm, comb, hair band, nail file, disposable underwear, maxi pads, thank you cards, note pad, snacks, mints, lollypop, playing cards, pen, Cutest Baby Ever sticker from Stickybellies *occasionally items will be substituted for another of equal or higher value item.
Milk Snob Nursing/Car seat Cover – This nursing cover is absolutely soooo soft. It’s gorgeous and soft. I’m in love with it!! I can’t wait to see a little face peeking out from under there. I liked having a cover for when visitors were in the room and I still needed to nurse. Then it comes in handy for nursing in public while the baby grows and also for keeping germs out while baby is in the carrier! Double win!
Burp Neccessity BurpShawl – This thing is an amazing invention! So it’s a shawl that is a burp cloth. So no spitsplosions can get all over you. And you can have guests wear it so the baby doesn’t touch their clothes with perfumes and smells. **we are still using these!! They’re great!**
So there are just a few things that I plan to include in my bag for the hospital. Head over to my Instagram feed to see how to enter to win ALL of these products for your very own hospital bag! Such an amazing gift for you and your newbie on the way!
What did you love in the hospital? Do you pack way ahead of time like me? **thank goodness I did…3 weeks early, yikes!**
