Yesterday, we had to take LC to the dr because her eye was swollen shut in the morning. They diagnosed her with Preseptal Cellulitis and we are so thankful that we took her. It is an infection of the tissue around the eye, and most likely was from the upper respiratory infection that she’s had for 2-3 weeks that just settled in her eye region. We are thankful that it hadn’t turned into Orbital Cellulitis because that is much more serious, the infection hadn’t spread anywhere and was only in the tissue surrounding her eye and not behind her eye or in it. We are watching her close to make sure that she doesn’t lose eye control and is able to move it each direction. Orbital Cellulitis would result in a hospital stay, so we are praising Jesus that it was just preseptal!
