It’s been a few weeks since I’ve done a pregnancy update aka bumpdate! I feel like these weeks have been flying by and sometimes I can’t even remember how many weeks I have left! It’s crazy how quickly your third pregnancy goes. The first one inched along. Second one was pretty quick but then the third has been a blink of an eye and here I am nearing the end! SO crazy, but we can’t wait to meet the newest addition to our family!

It’s been an ongoing joke on Instagram that I’m making everyone have bad eating habits! I mean, I can’t help that I love the good stuff. Chick-fil-A cookies have been my biggest splurge these last few weeks, but they must be paired with a large waffle fry, Chick-fil-A Sauce and a large unsweet tea with lemon. Get it wrong and I’ll cry. No shame.
I’m cracking up at the number of posts I’ve been tagged in daily with you ladies sharing your love for the same things. I mean, if anything can bring a community together it’s a love for CFA. HA!
I wanted to answer some of your recent questions asked on IG! I am just going to do 10 today and will try to do some more in my next bumpdate! You’ll have to let me know if you like these and I’ll try to keep doing them!
What are your pregnancy must haves?
Besides CFA cookies…I MUST have a good pillow to sleep. I have been using (and swearing by) this Leesa pillow that I randomly took from my mom’s house. She bought the mattress and the pillow came free with it. I was so glad, because it’s the perfect side pillow that conforms to my bump. I can’t sleep without it. Speaking of sleep…insomnia has been a real friend this pregnancy. I usually take 1/2 unisom on the nights I really need to sleep, and it’s SO helpful. It’s also safe for pregnancy and my dr approves. As far as other must-haves; I plan on doing a favorites post in a few weeks that will include my most used products this pregnancy, stretch mark cream, etc.
What are your exercise/eating tips during this pregnancy?
I can’t believe someone asked me this. HA! Have yall seen my eating habits? #embarrassing I actually do balance unhealthy with healthy…but I love a good treat. I eat normal meals with smaller portions, try to limit my coke intake as well as allow myself to have one good coffee a day (with cream and sugar). All of my other drinks are unsweet tea or water. As for exercise – I walk and try to do yoga. Also, chasing two little girls around definitely counts as exercise. I’m a busy body, so I don’t really spend much time sitting/not doing anything. Constantly on the go and I think that also helps! I don’t have a specific eating plan or workout plan, though.
What is your best advice for a first time mom?
Learn to be flexible. Find your tribe (you’ll need them). Stay plugged in. Laugh through the hard days. Pray every chance you get. ENJOY the seconds – it really does go by in a flash. Take care of yourself – moms often forget this and self-care is HUGE through having a baby. The newborn fog will go quickly even though it seems like it lasts an eternity! Sleep when you can.
What vitamins/supplements do you take during pregnancy?
I recently started taking Rainbow Light Third Trimester. I love that they have different vitamins for the stage that you’re in since the baby is developing different things each week. Previously, I was taking a brand called Expecta.
How did you decide to have a third baby?
God decided for us. After my miscarriage a couple of years ago, we both knew that we wanted a third. Neither of us were ready at that time, and to be honest I don’t think either of us were “ready” for this one either. Are you ever really fully ready? I think God prepares your heart for what you need. He knew we needed this little babe and we’re so thankful that He did!
Do you have a blog post on must have baby items?
I will be doing this, hospital bag, pregnancy favorites and a few other fun posts in the coming weeks! I do have some posts like this from when the girls were little (just don’t judge the quality of the posts, k?!) 🙂
Favorite places to register for a baby shower?
I would register at Amazon, Target and Buy Buy Baby. You can get most major items there. Otherwise, Babylist is great if you want to put other things on your registry that are from Etsy, etc.
Were you sick at all during this pregnancy?
I was sick a handful of times. I wasn’t constantly sick like I was in the first trimesters in the past. This babe has been a LOT easier on me than the other two.
What are your maternity must have clothing pieces?
I definitely have been living in this non-maternity dress if you haven’t noticed it making a weekly appearance! Ha! I also love a good pair of maternity jeans and also have a whole shop tab dedicated to my maternity favorites if you want to check it out!
What is your skin care routine during pregnancy?
I have been continuing to use Tula. I have a skincare routine post from summer that you can see my step-by-step process for skincare. You can use the code ASHLEESUMMER to get 20% off.
Can you share the best hospital clothes/going home clothing for yourself?
Yes! Comfy. You want to be comfortable! I will share all of this in the hospital bag post that’s coming at the beginning of October!
