It’s not often that I’m getting to dress for day date, date night or a meeting, but it’s always fun for me to find those outfits that will work and share them with yall! In fact, it’s great for me to have them on reserve when my hubby texts and says, “Get a sitter! Let’s go on a date!” These two outfits are ones that I would wear during a casual day date to the park, picnic or out with my kiddos and the other is one that I would be able to wear from the workplace to a happy hour or date night.

I love having options and always ask what we’re doing to ensure that I’m dressed appropriately. I love a casual day date and dressing for it is a bit easier since you want to be comfortable but still be cute! I was introduced to the brand 1901 at Nordstrom and absolutely love the preppy and fun feel that it has. I feel like my husband needs to take me on a sailing adventure so I can wear some of the gorgeous sundresses. (hint, hint…) 😉 Don’t worry, Babe, 1901 also has a men’s line that is great!
There are many affordable options, but I absolutely love the tops and found several that are great to have in your closet for dates, no matter if they are day time, happy hour or night time! This ruffle tee is one of my favorites and comes in so many colors. It recently sold out, but I LOVE this newest ruffle eyelet option that was just released. It’s already in my cart and comes in white and red (perfect for those Independence Day dates). I’m wearing with my favorite denim shorts (I recently sized up a size for my growing bump – it was well worth it). I love that they cover in all of the right places and have the perfect amount of distress. If you haven’t grabbed these criss-cross sandals that are only $35, you’re missing out! They come in SO many colors and are SUPER comfortable. If you only get one thing, make that a priority!
Then for the work place to happy hour to dinner date night outfit, I went for a fun but casual top that can be dressed up or down in so many ways! Also by the brand 1901 at Nordstrom, I love the peplum hem which is super flattering and the bow detail! I would normally get a size 0 in this top, so it would be true to size, but I went with a size 2 for my growing baby bump. I love it with slacks and nude pumps for work, and distressed denim and heels for after work. The top comes in coral, yellow, white and chambray. Honestly this top is so flattering and I love them all!
What is your favorite day date outfit and date night outfit? Do you have a go-to hanging in your closet or do you typically shop for new date outfits? I tend to get most of my staple date outfits from Nordstrom because I can always count on quality, great style and that I’m going to feel great in it! I’m currently shopping for items that will work throughout pregnancy, and there are so many great options! Nordstrom has THE BEST return policy and free shipping which is a MUST in the small town that I live in! What’s your go-to store for staple items?
Let me know if you grab anything from this post! I LOVE getting messages from you girls saying that you feel great in what you’re wearing! Even if you don’t get anything from the outfit, send me pictures of date outfits so that we can all get ideas! I try to share on my IG stories periodically! Hope you all have a great week and a happy Monday!!
