If you’ve been around for long, you know that Las Vegas has been a long time favorite place to travel for Brett and I! I don’t even think we can count the number of times we’ve gone anymore – it’s an easy quick getaway for us with a direct Southwest flight straight to Las Vegas. Brett is an avid lover of gambling and actually studies many of the games, so it’s his favorite thing to do! For me, I love the food, shows and shopping! As this is LONG overdue, I wanted to update my travel guide from the last time I shared our Las Vegas favorites. You can find that post HERE. Lots of our favorites have remained the same while we’ve found some other ones along the way! Sit back, relax and enjoy…because it’s a long one! 😉 Save this for your next trip to Vegas and let me know what you loved!

Where to Stay
This is by far our favorite place to stay. Brett uses their players card, so we are able to stay on a comped stay because he plays cards and dice with them, which has built up enough points for us to stay there for free! If you plan to go and gamble, I highly recommend getting a players card at your favorite casino. You can find the information on any hotel + casino’s website.
What do we love about the wynn so much?? Well, if you’ve stayed there and anywhere else in Las Vegas, you’ll be able to see why we choose this particular casino and hotel. The service and staff is unlike any other. The spa is amazing, and we like the atmosphere to be a little less “Vegas” and a little more “relaxed and resort-like”. I can promise you, you will love it here! We like the pools, spa, the shopping in the wynn is by far the best if you are into designer and we haven’t eaten at a restaurant there we didn’t 100% love.
We prefer our room to be in the Tower Suites, it’s a little better location and a little quieter. Encore is also a part of Wynn properties and it’s nice, but we prefer the Wynn over Encore.
Other places we’ve stayed in Las Vegas:
Brett has stayed downtown at the Golden Nugget and actually really liked it
Places we would like to try out:
The Cosmopolitan (although this is a VERY young crowd – we may not love it which is why we haven’t booked here yet) It would be great for girls’ trips or bachelorette parties, etc.
Resort World – this is brand new and we have heard great things! We will try to check it out on our next trip!
Circa – brand new downtown, we’ve heard amazing things about this place too if you prefer to stay off the strip
Places we’ve heard other people love:
MGM – Brett has stayed here before and said it was nice but it was many years ago

What to do
Spa – almost all Las Vegas hotels and casinos have amazing spas!
Shop – love going to the shops in Wynn, Fashion Show mall across from the Wynn, Bellagio, Caesar’s Forum Shops, Crystals, and there are some shops in Planet Hollywood.
Shows – we have seen many shows in Vegas and it’s one of our favorite things to do! Only two had opened back up on our last trip, so we saw Absinthe again. I will tell you – don’t take your parents or grandparents here – it’s got a lot of dirty humor and if you’re easily offended – don’t see this show. However, they do have some amazing acrobatics and funny parts!
We highly recommend seeing a Cirque show. They’re AMAZINGLY talented!!
We’ve seen:
Blue Man Group
Beatles Love
Rod Stewart
Absinthe
“O”
Le Reve – this is our favorite
David Copperfield
Terry Fator
Mystere
New shows people have recommended:
Atomic Saloon at Venetian
Opium at Cosmo
We plan to go back to see Justin Bieber and would love to catch a George Strait show sometime before he retires!
Pools – they’re actually all good in Vegas! Some are more relaxing with others!
Workout classes
We tried SoulCycle at Encore and loved it! We also did a dancing class when we went for my bachelorette party (a decade ago haha) but it was so much fun!
workout top /leggings/ sneakers
Clubs – lots of nightclubs if you’re into that! We don’t go to them, but each hotel/casino usually has their own! Just check with your concierge if you want to go to those. They’re usually only open on the weekend nights!
Other attractions we’ve seen/done
We rented sports cars and drove to the hoover dam.
The Ferris wheel at night
Rollercoaster at New York New York
Stratosphere interactive dinner
Attended NFR + trade shows
Outlet mall
Golf – Brett has golfed at several places and loved all of them
