I have a hard time staying true to each season’s trend. I mean, I’m a mom. I tend to lean to the side of comfort, but never really want to give up my trendy seasonal outfits. I did some research (by research, I mean I bought lots of things to try…you know, for testing purposes) to round up 7 fall trends that you can actually wear as a mom and be comfortable!

Yay, right!? I know, I’m excited…because fall clothes might actually be my favorite. Layers and faux fur. Booties and beanies! I love it all, and am ready for the weather to cooperate so we can get this fall (fashion) show on the road.
So what are these fall trends and HOW in the world will they actually be comfortable?
pink top // floral romper // off the shoulder sweater // choker // black leather moto
chunky booties // over the knee boots // hat
- Bell Sleeves – a super easy trend to pull off because it’s just a flowy top that can be paired with leggings or skinny jeans!
- Florals – also a super easy look to pull off! Just find keep wearing that floral romper from summer and throw a denim vest, faux fur vest or leather moto jacket over it.
- Chunky Boots – Can I get an AMEN that stiletto boots are NOT in this season? YESSSS. Chunky boots are even manageable with two babies on my hip. Chunky boots like these from Sole Society are affordable but still comfortable!
- Off-the-Shoulder Sweaters – One of my favorite summer trends is following us into fall. Just make sure that the weight of the material is fall-ish. You can also rock those OTS rompers and dresses well into fall.
- Rosey Pinks – Think pink! Easily done for me. I’ve always loved the color, and am so excited that it’s one of the hottest colors for fall. I’m loving pinks with over the knee boots and chunky jewelry.
- Chokers – 1991 called and said it’s totally okay to repeat this trend from your teens. I haven’t branched out to try it yet….but, I just might because it’s too easy not to. Maybe I can rummage through my teenage closet box and find some treasure from the past?
- Leather – Don’t throw out that leather moto from last winter, because it’s in again. I’m loving the leather and plaid combo as well as mixing leathers with softer patterns such as florals and light creams!
- Hats – Have you ever met a mom who doesn’t love hats? Nah. Seriously, a mom’s BFF on a day that hair and makeup being done just isn’t going to happen.
So are you ready to try some of these fall trends? I already have a few on repeat, and am pretty excited about the other ones. I have a cart full of items ready to test out for you guys so I’ll be sharing these trends over the next few weeks! The best part? They are ALL super do-able for moms. Comfort chic is key.
