Y’all. I am soooooooooo stinkin close to revealing LC’s big girl room and I just can’t wait. I can’t wait to show you all of the sweet details and the hard work that has gone into making her room everything she wants it to be.
You see, when your designing a nursery the only input you have is yourself (and whoever you enlist for decision making) but your baby doesn’t get a say about what is in there! It’s easy. Really easy! It turns into your vision!
Fast forward 2-3 years and you now have a teenag-errrr-toddler, and you have got ALL THE OPINIONS. Alllllll the whine. All the fits. All the “noooo I didn’t want a cupcake piggy bank, I wanted a pineapple!” (Cue the cork popping out of the wine bottle, cuuuuzz you’re gonna need it.)
But really, LC has had a say with almost everything I’ve done. I will give her two choices. Do you want this or this? Because let’s face it, I really need the majority of control over the situation. But, nonetheless, it’s given her a sense of ownership in her room. She’s proud of it! It’s a place she wants to be in. She loves it!
So before I show you all of her room, I want to show you a few bits and pieces of what is making it so great.
This rug. It’s everything. It’s seriously the best for kids because…wait for it…it’s machine washable! Yep, I threw it in the washing machine last night. Drying it this morning, and back on her floor (perfectly clean) within a few hours.
Lorena Canals rugs has so many amazing patterns to choose from! I love them all and really love how it’s added the softest pink detail to LC’s space.
The rugs are environmentally responsible: non toxic or polluting dyes have been used. Extensive quality controls to check for needles and other metals have been applied. Each rug is made with love and no one will be the exact same!
Head over to Lorena Canals and check them out for yourself. You won’t be sorry. You need one! I’m thinking of getting a second for the playroom tent! I’m really loving this version of the one we chose for Laikyn. Those scalloped edges, though…
