I hear this so many times as I was growing up. Take the time to clean your room. Take the time to say thank you. Take the time to wash your hands and say your prayer before you eat. Take the time to stop and smell the flowers…
With the arrival of spring, the trees are starting to bloom and the air smells fresh (or of blowing dirt if you live in West Texas). Either way, it’s a new season and a season for new beginnings. I’m always reminded of the caterpillars transforming to butterflies in the spring and the transformations that take place. I feel like a new person when spring comes!
Spring cleaning. Picnics. Fresh and bright colors. I love it all! I could easily say that spring is my favorite season, but then again I say that about all of them for one reason or another. Spring clothes are precious for little girls and I’m loving these from OshKosh B’gosh this year! The vibrant patterns and the fun florals takes me back to what my parents dressed me in when I was little! I love that my girls can wear the same brand that was my mom’s favorite as I was growing up!
I went shopping one evening with my sister for the girls and had the hardest time choosing just one outfit for them, so I naturally chose several. They’re all way too cute and can be worn into late spring and early summer! I love all of the prints, especially these little espadrilles with stripes and flowers! I really want to know if I can find them in my size…
We went back to the church where my husband and I married to take these photos! It was a hot summer day when we married, and this spring day photographing our two little girls just reminded me what a blessing life is. What a blessing God’s given us in these girls; in spring. So, this day, we took time to smell the flowers. We picked flowers. We threw them in the air and just enjoyed being with each other outside! I’ll cherish these photos forever and the smiles on their little faces when Mammie comes along for photos! I’m so thankful for this day and will bottle it up to get me through the long winter days next year.
Take some time to stop and smell the flowers. Take the time to count your days as blessings. Take all the time in the world to love on your family, because we all know these days go by entirely too quickly!
