I can’t believe my first rewardStyle conference has come and gone! If you’ve been following along on social media the past few weeks, you’ll know that I went to Dallas to be among the other top 200 digital influencers from the platform across the world at the biggest and most exclusive conference of the year: #rStheCon: rewardStyle the Conference.
The rewardStyle Conference is an annual invitation-only conference hosted in Dallas, Texas for the top 200 of the business. I was blown away with the amount of thought and detail that went into each event, classroom sessions, etc; I mean even the coffee cup sleeves were detailed with liketoknow.it logos. It was such an amazing experience and I hope to be invited again next year! I want to tell you a little more about it in case you’re a blogger working toward being invited, monetizing your social channels or if you’re just curious about what it is that I do everyday!
RewardStyle was created 5 years ago by a couple that is actually younger than I am! I was also blown away when Amber and Baxter’s story was told at our first main stage meeting. It is truly incredible what they have started, what has grown into something so amazing and what continues to be an amazing company to work for and grow with. RewardStyle is one of the ways that I monetize my content. When you click on a link or sign up for Liketoknow.it you are being redirected to RewardStyle which in turn collects the link where I am given credit for getting you to the link. Think of it as if you were at Dillard’s or Nordstrom and someone was helping you in the dressing room, finding your perfect outfit, etc; just as they get your commission from the sale, I get a small commission through items purchased. It’s an affiliate marketing program, but it has become so much more than that to me since I am now getting to collaborate and speak with many of my favorite brands (which I’ve been buying myself for years).
Still with me? I feel like I could honestly write a whole post on how to actually start making money from your blog or what affiliate marketing has done for me, but I really want to tell you about one of the best weekends…so I am going to save the rest for another post!
Here is my weekend at rS the Con, what my schedule was like, what I wore complete with links and sizing information and who my favorite bloggers are! I hope that if you are a blogger and want to get to this conference that you will reach out and let me help you get there! I was so shocked to be invited this year as I’ve only been “working” the blog for less than a year, but I will tell you that HARD WORK PAYS OFF. It truly does.
