They aren’t joking when they say life changes when you have two mobile babies. Let’s be honest: most days, my kids are my only cardio, and somehow I’m getting in 10,000+ steps. They are ON. THE. GO.
Since Lennyn started walking a couple of months ago, these two have been inseparable. Lennyn is chasing Laikyn around, while Laikyn is either running from her or inviting her to play…depending on her bipolar 3 year old mood. If you have a 3 year old you totally get it. The majority of the time, things are great but then the toddler bites the baby or the baby pulls the toddler’s hair and then Mom of Many Hats becomes The Referee, The Soother, The Disciplinarian and The Human Pacifier. It’s just life. It’s life with movers.
I didn’t realize how easy I had it when one of the babies just laid there, cooed and occasionally cried while just needing to be fed every 3 hours. Oh, and the diaper changes. It’s seriously a wrestling match to get a diaper on Lennyn now. I’m singing one of 18 songs, making crazy faces, handing her toys or non-toys (i.e. whatever is in sight: remote, wipes, empty cups, my phone…) to keep her hands busy…I think she just needs a straight-jacket to get one diaper on her booty. I’m kidding, but it’s humorous how much she hates to slow down to get dressed or a diaper. But once it’s on there, she’s off and on to the next thing and then I’m missing her and wishing she would slow down enough for me to love on her!
