Happy 60th Dad + Easter Weekend

 I always love going home, but leaving is the worst. All the waterworks fall and I get so sad to leave! We only live 3 hours away, but it’s hard to go weeks without seeing each other. If only there was a tunnel from my house to theirs that we could just get there quickly and come and go! Wishful thinking! 😉

Anyway, we had a great weekend.  On Friday, we went to eat at one of my favorite little steak joint’s in Amarillo. It’s seriously a hole-in-the-wall but it’s the best steak ever. And the cheese fries…I can’t even.

Saturday, we went to get donuts at Donut Stop (cherry donuts for the win) 

and then my mom treated us girls to a mani/pedi while the guys watched LC.  That was so nice. My mom is seriously the best!  We went out to eat to celebrate Pop Pop’s birthday at Red Lobster, which was super yummy! I’ve been loving fish lately.

Sunday, we went to church and out to eat again (we do a lot of eating if you haven’t noticed)…and then caught a quick nap before dying eggs and sending the kiddos on an Easter egg hunt.

We snuck in a little trip to Grandma Theresa’s and Laikyn liked to ride her garden animals! HA!!

Then it was time to go home. All the tears fell….can’t wait until our next trip to Canyon. It might be the last before the baby comes! I can’t believe next year we will have two sweet little girls to celebrate Easter with.  It was just last year at Easter when Laikyn took her first steps to Daddy.  Next year, we could possibly have two little walkers! Life will be full and crazy, that’s for sure!

We are SO thankful that He is Risen and He is alive within our hearts! Each holiday gets sweeter and sweeter with little ones to celebrate with; and I just pray that I show my girls the real reason for each holiday along with all of the fun little traditions!
