Often times, I question my sanity and if I am actually going crazy or if it’s just a dream. Lack of sleep, needy children, tasks to complete and mouths to feed keep me running around on my hamster wheel of life.
Anyone else? I can’t be the only mom that feels like I have 24 hours in a day, but 53 hours of things to do and no time to actually complete half of them! Add yourself to being home with your children all day and you certainly question your sanity. Did you actually just return your ketchup bottle to the laundry room and put the body wash in the refrigerator? I’m asking for a friend.
Sanity. We all need it in some way or another.
I can’t say that I’m not a crazy person every day, but after being home with two toddler tornadoes I feel like I’ve finally gotten into a routine that keeps us all sane. Again, we all need sanity.
I plan to post more on my scheduling and what works for us on a day-to-day basis since we’re home all day everyday and don’t have PDO, daycare or preschool (wahhhh, until next year and I’m in denial)…but we’re getting into a little routine that works for us!
As for now, my best advice is: do something for yourself. Go window shopping. Enjoy a cup of coffee. Find time to take a bath and actually shave your legs (your husband will thank me). Find something that makes YOU happy. Yes YOU mama…I’m talking to you!
My sanity is this little blog. It keeps my mind going – writing and having this community! It keep me goal-setting and it’s something only I can do. No one can do it for me, and I find joy in knowing that I have this space as my own! I also really really enjoy shopping online, for anyone – even you! Sharing a good sale, putting things in my cart and not even purchasing. Texting a friend to talk about said things that are in my cart and if I should purchase!
SO, thank you for being part of my sanity. Thank you for reading. Thank you for helping me find myself again and what makes ME happy after losing myself in being a stay at home mom and adjusting to new babies. Can I help you find that? Can I help you find something that makes you happy?? Please let me know if I can, because I promise…it’s your sanity to find something for YOUUUUU!
Dear, sweet, mamas….I love you. Your kids love you. Love yourself and enjoy something for YOU today.
