I scream, you scream; we all scream for ICE CREAM!
Is there a better spring treat than taking the kids to the ice cream shop to get some yummy treats!? This is one of our favorite activities to do in the spring and summer time, so I wanted to capture the sweet smiles over these sweet treats! The girls LOVE ice cream and snow cones, so this was a treat for them (and me) to go to Holly Hop Ice Cream Shoppe!
They are obviously very in their element while eating ice cream, and rightfully so! Who doesn’t love a good lick of cotton candy with sprinkles? If only we didn’t worry about the calories! My prayer for them is that they never worry about that, always indulge when they want to and never stop loving food! Ha! Funny prayer, but seriously, I think those worries can get the best of us!
My prayer is also that they’ll never lose their love for one another. Their sisterly love is almost too much to handle! It’s a cuteness overload everyday, you know, when I’m not busy playing referee between the two of them!
With the girls birthdays coming up in June, I have been shopping for the perfect spring and summer outfits to wear for parties and events with family. I always shop Nordstrom first because it’s a one-stop-shop for the whole family. In fact, all of our outfits are from there! It’s easy to put something for the whole family in the cart, and you can’t beat free shipping and free returns! Nordstrom really is the best and it’s my favorite store for so many reasons!
Natives for kids are our absolute favorite spring and summer shoe. They can get wet and serve as a tennis shoe or a sandal. It’s like the best of both worlds, and we seriously LIVE in them. I almost wish I had some for myself. Natives are great because they are unisex and come in so many different colors, patterns and styles. I grabbed these mary janes to give the girls a dressier option of a comfortable play shoe. They can also put them on by themselves since there are no laces! SCORE (aka #momhack).
The girls have Natives in several colors which can all be found here, but I’m partial to these white mary janes because they’ll go with literally everything. I can’t wait to style more outfits around these shoes. P.S. they are even great for splash pad/pool to playground! The best shoe, ever! I’m thinking these might me our next purchase.
I also love these fun spring pink dresses for little girls because they’re so soft but also functional! They wash up like a champ, too, because you can imagine the mess we were in after the ice cream shop! It was a little chilly this day and I actually threw a pair of leggings under the dress, and it still looked cute!
The dresses are made of the softest material and have the prettiest color! I love the subtle tie dye but that they can almost be a neutral and paired with another pattern or color! If you don’t know about these Baby Bling bows, you need to hop on that train, too! Hands down: the best headbands/bows ever. They grow with the child so you’re not constantly buying bigger sizes and they don’t come off! I wish Baby Bling would have made them when the girls were babies because we struggled with keeping bows on!
If you’re looking for a comfy shoe for mom, these pink bow slides are so comfortable and functional for “momming” that they have been my go-to shoes this spring! I love them so much and get so many compliments on them! My top and white jeans can also be found at Nordstrom.
What are some of your favorites for your kids? I love that all of these options are under $50 (some under $30) and functional for spring throughout summer. You will find my girls living in these dresses (in fact, my 10-year-old niece even got one, too)! Of course, the Native shoes will be on repeat as well!
Thanks for stopping by today to spend a little time with us! I love sharing my favorite finds from my favorite stores, but most of all I love encouraging other mothers, women and anyone that takes the time to read this! I hope you’re uplifted and encouraged this week and I hope that you find some comfort in holding on to fun times like the ice cream shop on a Saturday like I do!
I will cherish these pictures just as much as I cherish their little laughs and licks while enjoying their favorite flavor of ice cream! Cherish those sweet moments, mamas, because they go by so fast!
Before you go, I want to share a few of my other favorite kids finds under $50! I’ve linked them all within the tools below, just click to shop! Easy peasy! I want to know if you find anything here and love it/hate it, so please share when you buy and share how you styled it too by emailing me or tagging/DM’ing me on Instagram!
