I am often asked what I do and how we have gotten our babies to sleep through the night, so I wanted to give you guys an outline of what we do each night to ensure our kids sleep well.
From each of our daughters’ births, we started bedtime routines to ensure that our babies knew that it was time to sleep. Now, I want to say that this does not guarantee that they will sleep all night, but setting routines and habits helps them to know when it’s time to play and when it’s time to sleep.
Here is what our bedtime routines looked like at each age. I continued these routines even when we’ve traveled as well as when they are growing. We’ve set these flexible routines from the beginning so they still to this day know what to expect when bedtime rolls around!

We have chosen to keep Johnson & Johnson’s Bedtime Lotion a part of our routine from the very beginning! The lavender scent helps my babies sleep well and sleep deeply to get great rest for the day ahead of them. We love the way it feels and it doesn’t irrirate their sensitive skin. You can find it at Walmart on the baby aisle, and we love the bedtime bath, too!
Not only do we use Bedtime Lotion for the girls, but I use it for myself! I actually love using it after a bath, to take off makeup and even to freshen myself up after a day at the park! The smell is what gets me every time! I also love using it before bedtime for myself on my feet because they get super hot before bed. This lotion is the only thing that cools them off and helps me relax enough to sleep!
What are your bedtime routines? Do you have any bedtime hacks? What time do you put your children to bed and how many hours do they sleep? I would love to know some of your routines and how to change ours up a little to make it even better!
I have been compensated by Johnson’s® Baby for this post; however, I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own..
