You finally cleaned out your closet from 1995 and you’re wishing that you wouldn’t have, because look what’s baaaaccckkk! ’90s trends have made a comeback in 2016 and are here to stay, for a while at least. You know we all quoted Clueless like it was our day job, so jump on the bandwagon and let’s relive those good ol days!

I’ll be honest, it always takes me a while to get “on trend” with some of the comebacks. I don’t even try them all, but pick a few to try and hardly EVER try them all at one time. I recently bought my first pair of Birkenstocks as an adult and I promise my mom texted me, “You told me those were so ugly when I wore them when you were in high school.” I’m sorry, mom. Now I understand, they are SO comfortable.
So what are the most “capable looking outfits” for this comeback style? I’ve rounded up 5 of my favorites:

Chokers – it’s simple to pull off and fairly inexpensive. You know we all went to Claire’s and got the latest. Who knows, maybe you can meet your girls there for a reunion to snag some? If not, you can grab one HERE.

Denim Jackets – aka jean jacket. I had to HAVE a jean jacket in junior high. Everyone had them to go with their Doc Martens and braces. This is my favorite one right now, and you can even just throw it over your shoulders for a chic look.

Cold Shoulder Tops – Everything off the shoulder, cold shoulder, no shoulder, scrappy shoulder…shoulders were HOT in the ’90s and they are today too. I’m really loving this one; always have, always will.

Crop Top – My dad wasn’t a fan of this one in the ’90s and I’m pretty sure he still isn’t. I’ve tried to rock it as a mom of 2, and show as little skin as possible. Check out my cropped look HERE.

Plaid Shirt – You have to put it around the waist to be oh-so-90s. I rock this momiform more often than not and always feel like I’m channeling my inner Cher Horowitz….AS IF!
