Between all of the craziness we have going on lately, we took a little weekend getaway last weekend to Ruidoso, NM to celebrate my hubby’s 3oth and it was MUCH needed. We dropped the babes off with grandparents and met friends in the mountains for some fun!
We travel to Ruidoso fairly often and one of my favorite things to do there is eat. Who am I kidding? That’s my favorite thing to do wherever I am! There are some of the best restaurants and things to do there, so if you’re looking for a little getaway, I highly recommend it!
When we got to town, we had apps and drinks at OMalley’s which is one of our favorites for hanging out, then I drug my hubby around shopping to a few stores! I picked up some Birkenstocks that I had been wanting, and my feet have been thanking me since! Seriously, SO comfortable. My mom reminded me how I made fun of her when she wore them 10 years ago, and I just wish she would have kept them!
After shopping, we headed to Dreamcatchers to have some patio time while live music was playing! This place has the best atmosphere…and 70’s couches. What’s not to love?
We always, always, always eat dinner one night at Casa Blanca. The enchiladas, queso and margaritas DO NOT disappoint. We went there Friday night when we got into town. After dinner, we headed to The Inn of the Mountain Gods for some gambling. If you know me, I can pretty much be happy doing whatever everyone else is doing. Gambling is one of my husband’s love languages. Truly. So…Ruidoso taught me how to play Blackjack and 3 Card Poker back in the day when we were in college and started going there! The tables are only $5 minimum, so I don’t feel quite as bad as I do in Vegas when I lose all of my shopping money! But, we always have fun no matter win or lose! This new restaurant/bar called Broken Arrow Tap House at the front of The Inn quickly became our favorite spot with over 50 different brews on draft.
I wore this flouncy frilly ruffle top to dinner and it couldn’t have been more perfect! It does fit a little big, so when ordering, I would go a size down. I’m wearing an XS. SheIn has some of the cutest and trendy clothes for incredibly low prices. I’ve also been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the clothes for the price you pay!

Jordan is the sweetest! We’ll be going to celebrate her bachelorette weekend next time we travel together! I can’t wait!!
Can you believe this view? It was so gorgeous there and we had perfect weather! Perfect company, too. It was such a great time!
Oh, and HBD to my sweet hubby who denies ever having a birthday!
