It’s Lennyn’s first Christmas! Something is so special about a baby’s first Christmas. She’s really getting into things now that she’s trying to crawl and reaches for certain things. She LOVES the ornaments and has already tried to peek inside one of her wrapped presents. She might be my sneaky little child that I can’t hide presents from! At 6 months, she is really loving all of it so I can’t wait to see her and her sister on Christmas morning! Nothing like Christmas through the innocence of a child!
I have tried my best to read to them and tell them about what Christmas is all about. About Jesus’s birth and us celebrating him being born and our savior. At Lakyn’s age, she just wants to carry Baby Jesus from the nativity all around…like take him to dinner, and to the grocery store, and to her bed. I just pray that as they get older and grasp the true meaning of Christmas, that I have done my job to show them what it is really about.
We are so fortunate to have presents under the tree, a house to live in and food to eat, and I want them to know that it is by God’s grace (and a hard working daddy) that we are able to. I want them to understand that Christmas is not about presents and Santa and candy-cane-filled-goodness, but it’s about sharing Jesus’s love to everyone and spreading good.
Okay…I didn’t mean to get all deep on you guys, but Christmas is really important! We have decided to donate some toys for tots, do the Salvation Army angel tree and donate some diapers to babies in need! Our diapers of choice are Huggies Little Snugglers. They are fitting Lennyn perfectly right now, and hugging and snuggling in all of the right places. We have a Sam’s Club membership and can get them at a discounted rate, so we stock up on them! Huggies Little Snugglers have worked for us in so many ways. I am just thrilled to be able to gift them to another baby that needs some Huggies in their lives!
If your a mom, I’m sure you are busy. We all are. But how many diaper changes go by that you think to yourself, “I am so glad to be changing this diaper!”? Not many probably…but we take it for granted. We take for granted that we can buy diapers for our babies. We take for granted that our babies have a place to stay dry and clean. I know I do, and I hope that this is a reminder to me to count my blessings and give back when I can.
Here are 10 reasons why I love Huggies Little Snugglers and buy them at Sam’s Club:
- Huggies Fit – Lennyn is a chunk. She is really in between sizes in most diapers, but the Huggies Little Snugglers just work. They can be cinched a little tighter for growing into, but still have the velcro length to be able to wear them for a while.
- Huggies Durability – We have never had wet clothes from peeing out through the diaper. She sleeps 10-12 hours in these at night and wakes up with dry clothes (and an extremely wet diaper).
- Huggies Softness – They’re so soft. I don’t feel bad about putting these right up against her skin because it’s soft and they don’t irritate her.
- Huggies Gentleness – Outstanding skin care with GentleAbsorb* liner and wetness indicator
The new GentleAbsorb* Liner has tiny pillows that provide a cushiony layer of protection between your baby’s skin and draws runny mess away. - The Line – On all Huggies Little Snugglers diapers is a wet/dry indicator that tells when Lennyn has wet her diaper. I usually know because she tee-tees ALL OF THE TIME, but if it just feels a little wet and I see the line, I know it’s still time to change her.
- Huggies Cuteness – Laikyn LOVES seeing Winnie the Pooh on Lennyn’s diaper. She especially loves stealing them and putting them on her babies.
- Huggies Grow with Us – From newborn, with the umbilical cord cut-out to protect the belly button as they heal to now when we are in size 3, Huggies just work. They fit and they keep my mind at ease knowing that she is taken care of and clean.
- The Price at Sam’s – You can save quite a bit of money by buying diapers at Sam’s. You get more bang for the buck.
- Less Trips to the Store – If you buy in bulk at Sam’s Club, you don’t have to go to the store as often to purchase smaller amounts of diapers.
- Sam’s LOVES Moms – Recently, there was a campaign running for new moms (with babies 12 months and younger) to get a free membership. I know these run often, so check your local Sam’s Club to see when this might happen again. Also, the free shipping on Diapers/Wipes & Club Pick up are some pretty awesome options for diaper shopping on top of saving!
Here is our recent trip to Sam’s. It’s always, always a hot mess, but always fun, too! Thank you Mammie for always coming to meet us and helping out with my munchkins.
