I spent most of the day today praying….to get through the day without tears and with a good attitude. You see…in Kindergarten, when there is a full moon, a weather change, and upcoming holiday, i.e. Spring Break, or a birthday party, to say the least, the kids are CRAY CRAY, i.e. CRAZY MANIACS! Take note, I said when any ONE of these things happen….let me remind you about today: ALL (DID YOU HEAR ME!?) ALLLLLLL of these things happened today.
Need the equation?
Full moon + weather change + Spring Break in 2 days + a birthday party (second one for the week) = CUHHHRAAAZZYYYY 5/6 year olds
All of these things result in one tired, worn out, wine-drinking, bubble-bathing teacher which equally results in a cranky wife. I really feel sorry for Hubbs on days like that….
Well, guess what?! I made it through.
After being cranky, I sat while getting my nails done (I know, rough life) 🙂 and reflected on why I even let myself become cranky! I have a wonderful support system, 18 sweet & smiling kiddos, a job given to me straight from the Lord and a loving husband to come home to. I am blessed.
My attitude completely changed. After that, I saw a gorgeous sky while going for my relaxing 2 mile jog, came home to a gorgeous blooming Persian Buttercup in my flower pot, and spent the evening on the porch with my sweet hubby cooking out and some friends coming over for supper.

Tomorrow, I will not just PRAY for a good attitude or to make it through the day with a smile on my face, but I will PRAISE for the blessings He has given me through my marriage, my job, my family and my friends. I will pray to be a blessing instead of being blessed. You never know when you’re going to see things from the Lord. They just surprise you, but really they are there all along and you just have to open your eyes to His beauty.
