A Happy Birthday & OOTD

Happy Birthday to the best dad in all of the land!

Today is my dad’s birthday & Good Friday! What a great day it has been. We went to Lubbock last night and spent the night wining & dining at Las Brisas to celebrate Dad’s birthday! Yum! I’m a steak girl…happy to have a little Kung Fu Girl Riesling, a 6oz Petite Filet, some of the hubby’s King Crab & Cream Brûlée for dessert. Perfection.

So we stayed in Lubbock last night and got up at 4am this morning to catch the 6:45am red-eye to Phoenix. What a time change..Arizona doesn’t participate in Daylight Savings Time (smart state, I know) so we have had slight jet-lag all day. We got here in time to eat breakfast with my grandma, Jeannie, and then spend the whole day in Sunny Scottsdale. I officially decided we are retiring here-age 26. Also, perfection.

Scottsdale is the place to be! Lots of pretty flowers & beautiful landscapes in the middle of complete desert, and Brett of course loves the golf courses. Jeannie sure knew what she was doing when relocating herself to a “happy place!” I think she might be onto something…

We will spend the rest of our time here visiting with Jeannie at her “retirement resort,” shopping & eating (of course what we do best). Sprinkles, Yogurtland, Sauce, Charleston’s and Fashion Square are definitely on our to-do list.

Kelsey @ [My Life in Love] was so sweet and gave me a little shout out on her blog..she is just precious and always has adorable OOTD posts. Talk about a girl after my own heart (and is totally rockin’ her cute little figure after having a sweet baby girl only a couple of months ago). Talk about inspiration. She’s one hot momma!
