Well, the weekend went by super quickly, like normal! This whole summer is going by too quickly and it’s pretty depressing! I’ve been spending lots of time on grad school and traveling…favoring every second of the sun because August will be here before we know it!
Friday, I went to Amarillo to spend some time with my parents and celebrate Father’s Day with my sweet dad! That night, we went to eat at Macaroni Joe’s, which is our favorite,! It never disappoints!
Saturday was the husband’s big 26 birthday. It’s so sad that we are both definitely rounding our ages up to 30 now. It’s a tough life, really…ha! We spent the day at the lake, but had to leave early because of thunder storms.

Seriously, it was so scary stormy. I felt like I was reliving the move Perfect Storm. Except it was real life!
So, we safely made it off of the water and headed to Lubbock to search for a room. Defeated. Apparently there was a little league baseball tournament and everyone in America was staying. We finally found a room at 12:30 am. A good nights rest did the trick, though.
Sunday, it was perfect weather! We went back out to the lake and spent the day! It was a blast, as always!

Yay for building and double yay for country life. I know I miss it! I love that you will have it right in time for Christmas, couldn't work out much better than that!
