I’m a sucker for a good, easy recipe! My mom sent home some good ol family beef with me this past weekend and I’ve been waiting to use it for the perfect recipes! I chose a Top Round Roast and found a good recipe for it. Let me tell you….you’re going to want to break out that crockpot and get after this one!
This is called the Mississippi Roast (yes, I spell it out in song in my head every stinkin’ time). I got it from Pinterest and will file it away in my recipe box for good. It is THAT easy and THAT good!
Mississippi Roast
{via}
You need ::
Roast (top roast is the most tender)
1 Ranch Packet
1 Au Jus Packet
5 Pepperocini Peppers
1 stick of butter
Directions ::
Make sure the roast is thawed and not frozen. Put roast in a slow cooker, i.e. crockpot. Sprinkle Ranch packet over the roast and rub it in, flip the roast to the other side and repeat. Sprinkle Au Jus packet in crock pot. Put stick of butter on top and put in 5 peppers. Cook on low heat for 6-8 hours.
That’s it!
It was seriously falling apart at like 6 hours, so I went ahead and made the sides and we chowed down!
I made mashed potatoes and green beans for the sides. Delish!
Friends and hubby agreed, it’s a do-over.
(and hubby HATES roast).
Try it and enjoy! You won’t be sorry!
