I’ve been seeing some pretty cool nail art on Pinterest lately and have been wanting to try it! I am by no means claiming to be a professional at this…and definitely have some imperfections, but I was pleased with how they turned out. I mean, it was a $9 mani! How could you go wrong with that? Here’s how it happened…
Here is the “pinspiration”…
Here’s what you will need:
(yes, you see a sleeping Tuck in the background) 🙂
Nail Polish Remover
Cotton Balls
Sally Hansen Top Coat (or any top coat)
Garage Sale Dots
First things first, I followed the directions in the Sally Hansen Salon Effects box and applied accordingly to all ten fingers.
Then, you want to paint on a layer of top coat and let it dry.
The key to this mani is to let this leopard completely dry. I waited about an hour before starting the Cajun Shrimp step.
After drying, you are going to need those little garage sale dots. I cut them into individual dots. You will need 10.
I just had these laying around…but you can get them at Walmart or Walgreens.
Then you are going to want to put one dot on each nail leaving as much of the nail at the top showing that you want to be colored Cajun Shrimp. I did the majority of the nail to achieve the look of the inspiration picture.
Then just apply Cajun Shrimp above the dot. I had to do 3 coats to make sure you couldn’t see the leopard. You want to make sure it dries between each layer.
Take off the dots (carefully) and apply one coat of top coat.
Voila!
And there you have it, lovelies!
What do you think, easy enough? I would love to see it if you try it! Tag me on Instagram @ashleeknichols.
Have a great Sunday!
