Each month, it gets harder and harder to type the next number. I do love each stage, and it’s so fun…but it’s going WAY too quickly. Our weeks go soooo fast and then I can’t believe it’s been a month again. So…4 more months and you’ll hear me crying from your doorstep. I’ll be happy to have a healthy and wonderful little girl, but will mourn the newborn and baby stage being gone. So bittersweet.

So, 7 to 8 months has been busy, crazy and FUN! LC is all over the place and showing SO much personality. She is so cute and sweet and crazy and strong-willed. She puts her mind to it, and gets it done. Seriously. She’s way smarter than I ever was.

We started Mommy & Me gymnastics this month. She crawls through tunnels and does front rolls (with help) over the mats. She loves the trampoline and to watch the other kids. Mommy enjoys getting out of the house and doing something fun with her! We look forward to that on Mondays. The weather has recently warmed up, so we’ve been taking lots of walks and playing outside. I think we will finally be able to go places without worry of getting sick soon. I have avoided Walmart like it’s plagued. But really, gross.

Age :: eight months

Length :: 27 inches

Weight :: 17 lbs

Milestones :: She has cut 4 teeth in the past month. She had 3 already. That makes 7. HOLY TEETH. She cut the top front ones (they were the worst ever) and then just recently cut the bottom right and the top left. We’re waiting on the bottom left to round out her front 8 teeth. We’ve been keeping a Baltic amber teething necklace on her and I think it’s helping. She hasn’t been a complete monster. She’s crawling SO quickly…pulling up on everything, sometimes with no hands. She’s standing alone (when she wants to) and scaling things like the couch and Tucker. She’s choosing toys and just plays by herself and does her own thing most of the time. She’s playing “peek-a-boo” and “pat-a-cake” and can clap by herself. She can also “kiss” which is the CUTEST thing ever. (biased mommy comment.)

Sleep :: Sleep Easy Solution is my BFF. LC is sleeping anywhere from 11-13 hours and taking 1-2 hour naps throughout the day. We are much happier people. My boobies, however, are having a hard transition. I’m still waking up around 3-4 engorged so I end up pumping so I can go back to sleep. It’s okay though, I’ve been able to replenish the freezer stash that we used when we went to Vegas last weekend.

Favorites :: bath time, eating, her high chair, grabbing whatever mommy has (we call her sticky-hands), playing peek-a-boo and pat-a-cake, crawling/pulling up on toys, our phones, the iPad, magazines or sacks that make noise make her laugh hysterically! Her new thing is putting her fingers in my mouth, or her daddy’s mouth. She likes to grab facial features or anything that makes someone look different. She LOVES Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. It’s the only way we can go anywhere in the car. OHHHH TOOOODLES!!!

Doesn’t like :: still not loving the carseat and when we wipe her face after eating.

Foods :: She’s a little piggy. She LOVES everything! She’s a great eater and I’m praying that she keeps it up. I don’t want a picky girl. She mostly eats whatever we are, but I’m still giving her purees too. She’s having 3 meals a day..like today she had 1/4 of a blueberry waffle and 1/2 a banana for breakfast, peaches and banana puree for lunch with mac and cheese and some meat and bread, and for supper she had mixed vegetables puree, apple pear banana puree and 1/2 a banana. She eats SO much. She loves banana pudding and ice cream. And realllllyyy loves her puffs and Mum Mums!
