It’s beginning to look a lot like CHRISTMAS over here, y’all! I know, I know…It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, but I’m in a planning mode so I’m running with it! I’m planning to send out my Christmas cards early this year and get that checked off of my long list! I wanted to share a few ways I make the holidays easier by these 5 tips for holiday cards!
So you’ve got the family photoshoot session under your belt (read my tips for that HERE) and now you’re ready to create the perfect holiday cards to send to friends and family this Christmas season! I’ve got the best and easiest tips for you today!! Seriously, a few secrets I’m going to share will blow you away.
This year, we chose Tiny Prints to create our holiday cards. I’m usually flying in by the skin of my teeth sending out cards the week before Christmas, but this year I was EARLY! Mark that down, because it never happens.
These are the prettiest cards and I’m so excited that they are finished in time for me to relax this holiday season! Sending out Christmas cards helps us stay in touch with family and friends that don’t live close to us! It’s always been a tradition to send them, and give a little life update! Plus, I LOVE getting Christmas cards in the mail!
Okay! Are you ready for those tips? Here they are!
- Have the Photos You Want Ready – Simple as that. Have them on your computer and ready for upload. This makes it a lot simpler when you’re going to choose your holiday card template.
- Choose Your Card Company – Like I said, we went with Tiny Prints this year and I’m so glad we did. There are so many gorgeous options, especially the gold foil and laser cut prints. I couldn’t be more pleased with the way ours turned out. Also, they will email you your proof before they print to check it twice for it to be exactly what you planned. We chose this card with this envelope and insert.
- Plan in Advance – I’m having to eat my own words on this one. I usually don’t plan to have these cards out early, but I’m SO glad I did this year! It’s less stressful and one less thing to do in the busy months of December!
- Have Your Supplies & Addresses Handy – When you sit down to stuff the envelopes with your cards, have the stamps, pens and addresses ready so you aren’t hassling with getting up and finding things! I know when I get up, I get sidetracked and then they sit there for days just waiting to be sent! Also, once you have them ready – drop those babies in the mail! Get them off of your hands and out of your car! I’m so guilty of this too (maybe I will take my own advice this year).
- Enlist Help – I’ve enlisted the help of my kiddos to make it go faster (or not…but it’s fun for them) this year. They love it and it’s so cute to see the way my daughter stuffs the card the completely wrong way into the envelope. This year, Tiny Prints is proud to introduce FREE recipient addressing on any custom envelope! Say goodbye to hand cramps and let Tiny Prints do the hard work of addressing your holiday cards. All you have to do is stuff and send. Easy peasy!**Bonus Tip** Order Thank You cards when you order your Christmas cards. That way you have them ready for gifts given early and get them out early. I know the longer I wait, the less likely they are to be sent!**
What tips do you have to help you get through this holiday season more easily? Do you send Christmas or New Years cards? Do you even send cards at all? Here are some promo codes (and keep scrolling for a GIVEAWAY) for you to use at Tiny Prints this holiday season! It’s just too simple not to do it through their service, so take some time to get it done!!
I sure am thankful for these little elf helpers this year! They may help make a bigger mess than there already is, but the memories made doing it are priceless.
If you’re looking to give back this season, Tiny Prints is passionate about helping parents celebrate their children as they grow so they created the Baby2Baby Partnership. Baby2Baby is an organization that provides low-income children with the necessities they deserve. For every birth announcement purchased, Tiny Prints donates a portion of the proceeds to Baby2Baby. There is also an exclusive holiday card collection and holiday ornaments to honor their incredible mission. THIS is why I love this company.
Happy early holiday season! I hope that you can get your cards out sooner rather than stressing like I usually do! Where do you like to get your cards printed? I would love some helpful tips for the future if you can drop them in the comment section, that would be awesome! Happy Monday!
