I don’t know about you mamas, but I have a hard time getting my babes to sit down for breakfast. It’s like, after they’ve had their morning milk, we hit the ground running and they ain’t-a-stoppin’ for any breakfast. Laikyn usually wants Apple Jacks (not to be confused with Lucky Charms which is what she actually wants) and Lennyn wants to feed the dog a pancake on a stick. I’m just one here trying to get down an ounce of my morning coffee that’s been reheated twice already, so I’m like…WHATEVER.
10 easy toddler breakfast ideas? Does that actually exist? Toddlers actually eat?
I wanted to share the best toddler breakfast I’ve found so far, and you’ll never believe how easy it is! It’s actually healthy, too! Win-win!
I eat oatmeal almost every morning. I love it, but have a hard time getting the babes to follow suit. They want pancakes, waffles, cheese, pickles…anything that’s not going to happen for breakfast. While I do let them have the waffles or pancakes, it’s always a fight when they want something different than I’ve given them. Or want something different than they decided they wanted .8 seconds prior.
So I’ve rounded up 10 of the easiest and yummiest toddler breakfast ideas for you! The first is one that I tried with my 15 month old today, and she actually LOVED it! All I did was made Organic Steel Cut Oatmeal and infused it with Gerber Lil’ Bits Apple Banana! She LOVES apples and bananas, so this was an absolute hit. Of course, she needed to “feed herself” which ended in a huge mess, but it’s all good. The oatmeal would be good with this, this and this.
- Steel Cut Oatmeal with Apple Banana Lil’ Bits
- Greek Yogurt with Island Fruit Blend topped with brown sugar (we’ll be trying this tomorrow)
- Mini Egg Cups
- Easy Pancake Bites
- Applesauce Puffs made with Gerber Apple Banana
- Freezer French Toast Sticks
- Sweet Potato Banana Bites
- Banana Breakfast Balls with Banana Apple Berry
- No Bake Cereal Bars
- Yogurt Covered Breakfast Kabobs
I’m so excited to try some of these with my toddlers and report back! So far, breakfast is off to a better start after today! Here’s to hoping!
