Prayer. It’s powerful and incredible. It is something that we want to instill in our children. It’s a conversation that you can never end and always have easy access to. God is the easiest to talk to, but often times we forget He is there to talk to. I find myself starting prayer and just intermittently praying throughout the day. I try to start my day in prayer and end my day in prayer, and one thing that I am always sure to do is pray for my children and with my children. I want to share how I intently pray for my children and how I know God hears our prayers. He is good and He is faithful.
By praying over my girls daily, I want them to learn how to pray. I want to teach them to pray for specific needs and for others. I want to teach them that it’s not scary to pray out loud. I want them to know that through prayer and through God all things are possible. I pray that they are BOLD and sweet spirited. I pray that they grow through every situation. I pray that they feel the Holy Spirit in their lives and one day will recognize what that feels like. I pray so many things over them, but here are some specific prayers that I pray along with verses.
I pray out loud in front of and with them. I make it second nature and make sure to stop and thank God for certain things throughout the day. We are no where near perfect, but I want this to be a big part of our lives. I want them to know how powerful prayer is.

Will you join me in praying for our children? I often get discouraged looking at the world we are living in. I’m scared for my children to grow up in this world, but then I find hope in Jesus. I find hope in knowing that HE is all we need in any circumstance. HE is all we need.
