Most of you know that I recently went to Florida on a little getaway and I want to share all about the resort, spa, outfits and the girls I was with today! Hilton Sandestin Golf Resort and Spa invited me and 6 other influencers on a little “insta beach retreat” for a few days!

It was definitely the opportunity of a lifetime and I couldn’t say YES fast enough! In fact, the group that they invited all responded that they wanted to come within minutes! What a great group we had, too (more on that later in this post)! When I got the email to attend, they told us we were allowed to bring a +1 or photographer along, and since it was a golf resort, Brett claimed his spot quickly! He played golf everyday while I went along with the itinerary that was given to us! We both had a great time!
The Resort
Hilton Sandestin is situated on Miramar Beach which is actually not a part of Destin, Florida! We learned that it’s about 25 miles from Destin, closer to 30A. The beaches are made of the prettiest white sand that is SO soft, and the water is emerald blue. I didn’t know that you could find a beach this gorgeous in the states! I am still blown away at how gorgeous the scenery was! Hilton Sandestin has 2 outdoor pools and one indoor. I love this because it wasn’t warm enough to swim outside but there was still a nice indoor option! Also, the beach is private so you don’t have to expect lots of people out there with you! It’s full service on the resort, so whatever you need you will be able to find it! Oh and they have 2 bunk beds in the rooms, so we are DEFINITELY going to take the girls back!
What We Did
We started our trip with a dinner at Sandcastles. The food was so fresh and amazing! I left SO incredibly full because of the 5 course meal they had planned for us. It was seriously some of the best fish I’d ever had! The following morning, we went to a 6:30am yoga session! It is usually held on the beach, but the temperatures were too low while we were there! I am not a morning person, but this session was great and left me energized for our day! Later that morning, we headed to Shard Shop where we made our own creations made of broken glass! I highly recommend, even if you’re not “artsy”!! I had the best time and made a pineapple to hang in my office! This is one of the coolest concepts and I want to take my family back to do it, too! On our way back to the Hilton, we stopped for ice cream at the cutest little shop on 30A called Blue Mountain Beach Creamery! Later in the day, we met up again for sushi at Hadashi! All of the restaurants are located at the resort and give you so many options! This was my favorite meal!
On Friday, we had the most relaxing day and I’m glad because the weather was so nice! We spent most of the day at the beach and pools, starting with lunch at Barefoot’s Beachside Bar & Grill! We followed with relaxation at Serenity by the Sea Spa where I got the best 50 minute massage I’ve had in a while! The spa is one of the best I’ve been to (and you guys know how much I love spas) with a steam room, sauna and whirlpool as well as all spa amenities you would need! I also love that they host group parties, luncheons and girls days for whatever you are there for! Such a great space! After the spa, we relaxed at the pool until it was time to get ready for the last dinner! We had the BEST steak and lobster dinner at Seagar’s (pronounced like Cigar’s – I said it wrong all night haha)! Definitely the best surf and turf I’ve ever had. DELICIOUS! The table side Caesar Salad and table side Banana’s Foster is a MUST! I actually loved it all!
Each morning, we had breakfast at Sandcastles where they have a full breakfast buffet, the best bloody mary’s and made-to-order omelets! I LOVE breakfast, so this was right up my alley!
While I was busy, Brett golfed at the resort’s golf courses. He loved it and said he for sure wants to go back! There are actually several, but he played at The Raven. He sure enjoyed the beach, golf, drinks and time away also!
The Group
I loved getting to know the other 6 girls that were on the insta-retreat! I actually had only met Amanda in real life before, but had talked to a few others through Instagram before our trip! It was such a great group and I feel like we will all remain friends since! They’re sweethearts!
Amanda, The Miller Affect – She is a Dallas blogger that I had met a few times before! She is super active on her IG stories like I am and features the best work wear fashion! She is also 5’11” so if you’re tall, she’s a must follow! Find her on Instagram: @themilleraffect.

Carrie, Carrie Colbert – She is another Texas girl! Carrie lives in Houston and brought her sweet little girl, Elle, along with her to Florida! We actually connected the dots that she grew up about 2 hours from me in the Texas Panhandle! Small world!! Carrie shares SO many great colorful things and also is just the SWEETEST person ever. Erica, Eating with Erica – Based in Atlanta, Erica has a food blog! I mean, she takes the prettiest pictures of food and shares all about them (all while I’m already diving in because I can’t wait – haha). Erica has the BEST sense of humor and made me laugh the whole time! I enjoyed getting to know her – and we have a mutual friend, too! Bringing you with us next time, Jessica!
