Well, Hello FRIDAY….I’m so happy you came again. Spring Break Friday, at that! I couldn’t be more excited for a little break from work, trip to see my sister, niece, nephew & mom, and time with my sweet hubby. I hope this week goes by super slowly…I plan to savor every moment.
As I sit in the Las Vegas airport on a layover to Baltimore, I realize my number 1 for this week:
1. People Watching
So guilty. So very guilty. I just want to tap them on the shoulder and say, “Come with me…I will show you the absolute best shopping in Vegas, and you won’t be sorry.” Or sometimes I just sit and wonder what it’s like to be that person. I guess I’m just intrigued. This isn’t at all a very fabulous favorite, but apparently it is my favorite pastime on a very long layover when trying to talk myself out of hailing a cab to the strip to gamble/shop away the money Hubbs gave me for the trip. Instead, here I sit in the midst of the drunken Vegas-ers getting ready to live it up, eating my carb-induced jalapeño Auntie Anne’s Pretzel in peace. Simplicity in life, I suppose!
On to the actual Friday Faves:
2. Anything and Everything HUNGER GAMES
I loved the books & am anxiously awaiting the premiere of the movie. I have been equally obsessive about Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars’ song “Safe and Sound” for the soundtrack & after hearing it on Sirius/XM’s The Highway yesterday, I fell even more in love with it. You will too…check it out!

This stuff has done wonders for my color treated hair. It is sulfate-free which means it doesn’t lather all that well in the shower, but it leaves your hair feeling super silky smooth and very manageable. I use the shampoo, conditioner and Argan oil every other day and it has left my frizzy, dry hair feeling moisturized, silky and shiny. I LOVE this stuff. If you naturally have oily hair, you might just want to use it once a week. I bought it from my hairdresser, Staci, at Staci’s Salon & Spa.

Ben is not my favorite season, however, I am STOKED for Emily Maynard to be the next Bachelorette! I LOVED her on Brad’s season and I cannot wait to start watching her season. Anyway, Reality Steve is already blogging about Emily’s season. Check it out. I want to go to Charlotte for Spring Break now!

5. Polyvore
Well, my mom came to visit this past weekend while Brett was on a golf trip to Arizona. It’s always a great time when mom and I are together and we cherish it more and more now that we don’t get to live in the same place. So, of course when we get together we visit during breakfast & then visit while getting ready and then it’s 2 o’clock before we leave to do anything! So, as we are getting ready to head to Lubbock for a day of shopping, a afternoon matinee of The Vow and dinner, I say:
“Ugh! I have no idea what to wear! Mom, come find me something…” and Mom replies, “Your closet is almost better than Polyvore, you have so many things!” She could have been right this day…(and about everything else for that matter..)
It occurred to me that I just need my mom there to pull out some things that I have forgotten about! Polyvore is like that:: a virtual-outfit-putter-together. Haha! But really….Here is a version of what Mom pulled together for me!

I lucked out and got an airplane with wi-fi hot spot @ 35,000 ft (for $5). This is a 4 hour 21 minute flight from Las Vegas to Baltimore and I am getting to drink a little glass plastic cup of Chardonnay, blog & Pinterest! Flying with Southwest just got sweeter. Best $5 ever spent.
