When someone says girls trip, I’m likely always going to be in! I love girl time and I love even more that I get to teach my daughters how to have girls trips too! My mom, sister and her daughter and myself with my girls, recently had a little girls getaway to Dallas! We had the best time and are already planning the next!
What is it about girls getting together that is so much fun?
So much. Everything. Girls trips are just the BEST. Since we don’t all live in the same town, meeting up at a fun place and planning girly things is one of our favorite things to do each year! We chose Dallas this time and celebrated my sister, Brandi’s, 39th birthday! What better way to celebrate than with our girl squad? We met on Friday evening and got our weekend started!
We chose Westin Dallas – Downtown for our stay, which lives in the heart of downtown Dallas. The staff was incredible; meeting us in our corner suite with a cheese & wine tray and offering anything in the world we needed! They made us feel like royalty!
After traveling for several hours with kids, we decided to get into our (matching) pajamas and order room service! The food was seriously amazing; I think we ate it all and then some. From the appetizers to dessert, it was seriously what we needed. The nice thing was that the girls could go to bed whenever they wanted (or we told them to, ha!) and we stayed up eating and talking!
The view from the Westin – Dallas Downtown suites is amazing! The girls were all enamored by what they could see out the HUGE windows! The room is also over 800 sq ft, so we had more than enough space for all of us!
After an amazing night’s sleep in the Deluxe Corner Suite, we traded makeup, talked outfits, took some pictures and then headed out for a day of SHOPPING! It’s really what we do best. We went to The Galleria, American Girl Store, Northpark and then back to Galleria. We had too much Starbucks, too many sweets, no naps and lots of U-turns while driving! We laughed until we cried, talked until we tired and enjoyed each other’s company! We decided to go for takeout (because, kids.) on Saturday evening at PF Chang because it’s a family favorite! We returned to our clean and tidy room ready for another great night of sleep.
Before heading home on Sunday, we headed to Deep Ellum for Glazed Donut Works & coffee. Deep Ellum is definitely a quirky and fun Dallas place to visit if you love art, eclectic foods and fun walls for the perfect Instagram photo. I got some cute pictures of the girls and enjoyed the Maple Bacon Donut a little too much.
We had the BEST time in Dallas for our girls getaway. Next time, we want to visit a few more things for the kids. Our time together was just too short and we made the most of it by just spending time together! It was definitely a trip we will remember and cherish for many years to come!
Thank you to Westin Dallas Downtown for having us! We enjoyed the hotel, your staff and the incredibly stay.
