We had the best time on our Royal Caribbean Cruise and can’t wait to plan the next! We set sail about a month ago on the Allure of the Seas with Royal Caribbean where we saw a few parts of the world that we’d never seen before! Allure of the Seas sailed to Bahamas, St. Thomas and St. Kitts before returning back to Ft. Lauderdale.
Every place we saw was absolutely stunning, but nothing could compare to the open sea with the bright blue waters. Definitely an experience with my husband that I will hold dear forever. I wanted to recap our favorites and each place we visited for someone who might be thinking about going on a cruise. I honestly wasn’t sold on the idea of a cruise until we were there and I experienced how amazing it really was!
Here is a little recap of our 7 day cruise with Royal Caribbean on Allure of the Seas!
7 Day Cruise to Bahamas, St. Thomas, St. Kitt with Royal Caribbean
Saturday – We flew to Ft. Lauderdale to ensure that we could arrive to the ship before embarking. We stayed at Courtyard by Marriott Ft. Lauderdale Airport and Cruise Port and it was easy and a great one to stay at if you need to book a hotel for the night before your cruise.
Sunday – We arrived at the Allure of the Seas around 12pm. It was plenty of time to get checked in and into our room before anything started happening. They walk you through all of the info you need, so don’t hesitate to ask someone if you’re unsure. We started cruising and were set to arrive in the Bahamas around 6am. We had dinner at Chops. Highly recommend! My hubby and I saw the aqua theater show this night and it was SO cool.

Monday – We woke up in the Bahamas! It was STUNNING and the little colorful houses everywhere were perfection! We swam with dolphins at Atlantis Resort for the day. These beaches were absolutely gorgeous and I definitely want to go back to Atlantis to take the girls! We went back to the boat around 3:30 and departed for our next destination! We did dinner at the dining hall since it was our first formal night! We went to the show Mamma Mia and LOVED it!
Tuesday – We cruised all day. We used this as a spa and laying by the pool day! We did dinner at the Italian place and it was delicious! We went to see the Love and Marriage Game Show this night and it was so funny! I recommend this show, for sure!

Wednesday – We arrived in St. Thomas around 10 am and got off the boat! This place was so fun! We decided to do another excursion on a catamaran to snorkel. It was so much fun, but we didn’t have much time! I would definitely take more time to shop and explore the island here if you aren’t into a quick trip to snorkel for 15 minutes! I’m DEFINITELY shopping next time. The ship departed at 5pm so we were back on the boat by 4 or so, and did a late afternoon snack at Johnny Rockets (the best burgers, fries and shakes). Later that evening, we met Jessica and Mackenzie for drinks and tableside guac at the Mexican restaurant.
Thursday – St. Kitts day! This was my favorite day/destination of the trip! The island is absolutely stunning (it’s where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Caribbean) and such an underrated island. I LOVED the people (and monkeys) (and drinks on the beach). The whole group we were with opted to take a beach day and just hang out! It was so much fun and the view was amazing! Back on the boat that evening, we had room service and a night in PJS! It was much needed after a beach day!
Friday – Cruising back to Ft. Lauderdale. We did a lot of NOTHING on this day, except for enjoyed the boat and pool (and drinks). This day was SO incredibly windy that we had to find a spot on the boat that didn’t make us feel like we were in West Texas. I was so concerned about feeling the boat move, but I didn’t; not even on the windiest day at sea! This was our last formal night – The Captain’s Dinner! We went out for drinks and dancing after with Jess and Kenz!
Saturday – We’re now cruising back to Ft. Lauderdale. We used this as another spa day and started to pack for our trip back home (gearing up for another trip with family). We enjoyed the pool and did a whole lot of nothing but contemplated crying because we were going to miss the ship so much! My hubby and I had dinner with Laura and her hubby in our dining hall and then walked around the boat one last time!
Sunday – Arrived back in Ft. Lauderdale at the port. They make the process to get off of the boat fairly seamless. I was continually impressed with the organization and how the cruise was run. We caught a shuttle to the airport and hopped on our plane to our next trip!
Brett and I had the BEST time on our cruise and are already thinking of the next one we can go on! I am impressed with Royal Caribbean and can’t imagine going on any other cruiseline now! It was hands-down one of our favorite trips EVER!
