Love is in the air! I looovvveeee a lot of things and one of those things is a good girls getaway! Spending some uninterrupted time with your girlfriends can be so good for the soul! My lifelong girlfriends, Shanna and Jessica, recently travelled to Dallas to have our little “Galentines” getaway! We want to share with you the ultimate guide for your girlfriends getaway!
If you are planning a getaway for your girls, the first thing you need to do is choose the dates and your destination! We chose to go during the week when it worked out for everyone’s schedule! Tip: flights and hotel rooms are often less expensive during the weekdays! Dallas was our destination of choice this year (and last year) because it’s fairly easy for us all to meet there and the shopping & food is great! This year was our second annual trip, so it was fun to look back on last year’s trip and reminisce!

So what are some activities to do on a girls’ getaway? SHOP! EAT! DRINK! SHOP! All of the above! We stopped into Nordstrom at Northpark after our hotel check-in for a quick snack and lots of shopping! After shopping our little hearts (and wallets) out, we went back to the room to freshen up and out for dinner!

After a great night’s rest in the comfortable beds, we started our day early with a fresh blow out at Drybar Highland Park followed by makeup at Blushington. If you haven’t done these things, I highly recommend them both! They are right next door to each other and make you feel so fresh and ready for the day, not to mention you will leave looking and feeling gorgeous! This was our first time to Blushington, and I was so excited to try it! I started with the BeautyRx Glycolic peel treatment and then Mason, the makeup artist, worked her magic! I loved my natural yet glowing look that she did for me! Definitely try out Blushington if you are in the Dallas or New York area!

We ate a late lunch, we went to Crescent Court to have a fun little girlfriend photo shoot! It’s so fun to get all dolled up and take pictures with your friends! If you’re in the Dallas area, Megan Weaver is an awesome professional photographer and captured all of the fun we had perfectly!

Since we were all dressed up, we headed out for dinner and drinks at Top Knot and Uchi! Shan and Jess went there while I was at my blogger meet up, so I just walked over and met them! Uchi was the most delicious sushi and tapas ever! I am already asking to go back!
The next day, Tuesday, we all had to head back home and to reality! I had some meetings to attend, but then we stopped into Bird Bakery for lunch and did a little window shopping at Highland Park Village. The bakery is the cutest place you’ll ever go, if you haven’t been, definitely make plans to stop in and check it out! Highland Park Village is a dreamy place, also, and quickly became one of my favorite places in the area!
