Building and moving into a house at 7 months pregnant is not for the faint of heart. I remember having to go choose paint colors, brick, granite, etc while I was pregnant-exhausted. If any of you know what I’m talking about, you’re sighing right now because there is no exhausted like pregnant-exhausted. When we moved in, I had baby nursery on my mind and that was the first room to finish followed by the rest of the house that everyone saw. We neglected our master bedroom for the longest time, and I finally decided to decorate it this summer.
After many, many online searches and unlimited trips to Home Goods and Hobby Lobby…I think I am finished. I say I think I am, because now that I’m finished I already have a few more things I want to do! Ha! Isn’t that how life goes? We’re always wishing for the next thing.
I will share all of the products and where they are from at the end of this post! We are so pleased with the way it turned out, it really brightened up our space and gave for the best lighting. You see most of my photos in my room because that’s where the lighting is the best!
I wanted to create a place that just felt clean, simple and easy for me to tidy! I painted this furniture with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint in Paris Grey (before it was solid oak). I just switched out the hardware with some gold ones and wallah! It’s updated and feels so much better!
We hang out in our room so much more often now and it feels like I finally got around to doing something to the room! I’m so happy that I did because it is one of my favorite rooms now! Thank you to all of these companies that made it possible!
