Mom TV: TV shows that moms watch when babies are sleeping. Disclaimer: Show may result in eating the whole sleeve of Oreos in fear that said baby will wake and want to share the Oreos, or worse, change the show to animated TV with annoying animated voices which will then result in drinking wine. I warned you.
All moms have them. All moms talk about them when they get together. We all have those guilty pleasure shows that we live for; that one show that we look forward to as soon as Live with Kelly is over, counting down the minutes to nap time. There Goes the Motherhood is one of those shows. Just go ahead and set your DVR, because you have a date with your laundry basket and Bravo on Wednesday.
I’m obsessed with this show. It’s seriously my newest mom-obsession, and I needed to share it with all of my best friends, aka, you. Let me just tell you a little more about it so you can become equally obsessed…
So you’ve heard me talk about the sleep training method I use called Sleep Easy Solution. Jennifer Waldburger and Jill Spivack, Co-Founders of Sleepy Planet, also run mommy groups – and this show is based on their parenting groups in Los Angeles. The show is on Bravo (Yes, the network for all of the Real Housewives.)
The show features six mothers who go on an eight-week parent education course guided by parenting expert Jill Spivack. The docuseries cast includes Beth Bowen, Jen Bush, Meghan Conroy-Resich, Stefanie Fair, Leah Forester, and Alisa Starler. There Goes the Motherhood airs Wednesdays 10/9 central.

I’ve been pleasantly surprised by the show since it’s all about moms, and how they do support each other (with a side of drama, of course) but it’s remained tasteful and reaches all different types of moms…
There Goes the Motherhood follows six dynamic Los Angeles mothers, who meet through parenting expert Jill Spivack’s highly-coveted, eight-week course. Beth Bowen, Jen Bush, Meghan Conroy-Resich, Stefanie Fair, Leah Forester, and Alisa Starler have long waited for the opportunity to be a part of the most in-demand mommy group in LA. Wearing their hearts on their sleeves and hoping for a place to connect, some become fast friends, and others fast frenemies, proving that you don’t mess with a mom on a mission.
There Goes the Motherhood is an eye-opening docu-series that hilariously captures the fabulous, fascinating, and shocking truths behind modern motherhood. These upscale mothers use Jill Spivack’s weekly mommy groups as an opportunity to vent about shared frustrations, exchange parenting tips, open up about their relationships, and bond over the unpredictable ride that is motherhood. Each of them practices a unique parenting-style and strives to balance it all while maintaining an ounce of her sanity. But mommy group isn’t all smiles and shared secrets, as these women not only focus on their own insecurities, but also each other’s in an effort to improve their lives as women, wives, and moms.
Motherhood can be such a sticky thing to talk about with women. Everyone has a different view and a different way to go about each stage. We all teach differently and learn differently as moms. I love how all of these women came together to better their child’s lives and have a little fun while doing it! Life is all about filling it with people who make us better. Find your tribe: those women who will support you and encourage you, the ones who may do it differently but don’t look down on you for doing you, and the ones who love you through your dramatic moments of life.
