I’ve taken into careful consideration all 12 of these items and just how much I will wear each one of them. I also tried super hard to make sure that everything is in stock so you can shop it easily! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale has been going for a few weeks, so I hope you were able to get all of the things on your checklist and if you have anything left; grab before the sale ends on Sunday! What made my 12 closet staples for fall? Some good ones, yall! I styled each of them and can already think of several different ways to style these 12 items again in a follow up post! Stay tuned, because these are definitely the 12 items you’ll need to carry you through the season (with the help of a few others like a great denim jacket and a pair of OTK boots)!
12 Closet Staples for Fall
WHITE TEE – This white tee is a favorite and I have it in several colors. I would recommend sizing up one size for the best oversized fit. I also love this $11 tee.
PLAID SHIRT – There are so many great plaid shirts out there, but this is my all time favorite. I grab one (or three) every year in the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and they carry through to the next year easily!
SNEAKERS – I opted for high top sneakers this year since I have some that aren’t. I also love these that are lower if you’re not into high tops!
BUCKET TOTE – I cannot believe the quality of this bag and the price point! It also comes in black!
CROSSBODY BAG – I had my eye on this for so long before biting the bullet. It’s a splurge item for sure, but I really love the size and it comes in 3 colors.
DENIM JEANS (NO DISTRESS) – I grabbed this pair of maternity jeans since they are on sale, but this is a great non-maternity option for a great price!
FAUX LEATHER JACKET – I recently found this Topshop Moto Jacket and am so glad I did! It’s in stock and a great fit. Size up one size (follow the sizes in parenthesis) for best fit.
BLACK JEANS OR LEGGINGS – I am a firm believer that everyone needs a pair of Spanx Faux Leather Leggings or a pair of black jeans. I actually liked these black jeans better with this outfit and they are SO great because they have an elastic waist band. I’m so obsessed that I grabbed them in a few colors!
BOOTIES – I think everyone needs a pair of booties in their closet. I love these with a slight heel and open side. They come in 3 color options and run true to size.
PULLOVER – UGG makes the comfiest and coziest blankets, shoes and pullovers! I am LOVING this one and will live in it this winter. I got size small and it fits perfectly, even with my bump.
MOTO LEGGINGS – LOVE these by Zella. I also love the Spanx Faux Leather Moto Leggings and the BP Moto Leggings if you need different price points!
TENNIS SHOES -These Adidas are my favorite from the sale that are a basic staple. They come in 2 colors and run true to size!
What are your closet staple items? I would definitely add a denim jacket, tall/otk boots and possibly a few others to this list!
